Our Mecanum drives enable the construction of economical and compact AGVs with maximum mobility. Especially for small vehicles transporting goods with high frequency, it is important not to waste unnecessary space by manoeuvring. In order to retrofit existing production environments with AGVs, it is necessary to be able to negotiate winding and narrow traffic routes. The Mecanum drive makes this possible. Omnidirectional or area-moving drive means movements as if on a cushion of air. Turning on the spot from a standing position, driving sideways or diagonally - this is only possible with Mecanum wheels.
The DONKEYmotion modular system contains Mecanum drives for small AGVs in the size of small parts load carriers or Euro containers in the 600 mm x 400 mm format. Designed for loads up to 270 kg, the payload is sufficient to transport even several loaded containers at the same time. Our Mecanum wheels are characterised by particularly low-vibration running properties and long maintenance intervals. The drive units called „MecanumDrive” are compact systems consisting of a Mecanum wheel, gearbox and motor. This makes integration into various driverless transport vehicles child's play.
